LEI becomes a FHI (Food for the Hungry International) Federation member. Representing LEI, I had a tendency to stick out among my colleagues in Asia. But it was very much a privilege for me and Dr. Kim (LEI Asia Director) to be part of the FHI Federation gathering in INFORMATIVE:
Almost a billion people on the earth are underfed.
(Mostly they are part of the same billion people that live on $1 a day and cannot read)
A billion people are overfed.
CHALLENGING:
I am part of the overfed.
ENCOURAGING:
There is much work being done. The body of Christ is responding to the enormous opportunity to share God’s love.
Effective April 22, 2008, LEI was admitted as a member of the FHI Federation.
FHI embraced the strategic need for the work of LEI to both provide a platform for economic development as well as a natural avenue for providing spiritual food for the soul.
I know God is pleased through the partnerships that have been formed.
