Project Management Begins
Faith, from Tulsa and Kenya, led our Bible study this morning on Daniel 3:1-12. We read about how King Nebuchadnezzar made a statue of gold and ordered his people to worship it. We considered how ironic it was that in the previous chapter the king acknowledged that Daniel's God was "above all other gods and kings" (Daniel 2:47, CEV) yet the king did not understand that the Lord alone is to be worshipped. We discussed the dire situation that Shadrach, Meshach, and Abednego were about to encounter where they had to stand up for their faith in God regardless of the cost. With this in mind we commented upon how grateful we are to live in a country of free speech and free expression of worship considering the fact that other Christians around the world live under dictators as ruthless as King Nebuchadnezzar.
Greg Bennet began teaching at ILTI today. One of his areas of expertise, leadership training. He will teach for three days about project management.
Please join us over the 4th of July holiday in praying for our country and its leadership, and our missionaries around the world, many who suffer for proclaiming the good news about Jesus' saving grace. We thank God for the freedoms and manifold blessings we enjoy here in the USA. May God continue to bless America.
Thank you Michelle and Greg Bennett for the wonderful lunch you provided for our students today. It was delicious.
Thank you Tulsa Hills Paneras for the great donations of bagels for our ILTI students over the past five weeks. What a blessing.
