Friday's Grand Finale
This last day of ILTI is filled with special events. It began with a wrap up of the inductive Bible study and with sharing visions for the future work using this literacy training.
As each shared his or her vision, another student prayed.
It was an inspiration to see the enthusiasm with which students want to return to their countries to share what they have learned. Many literacy programs will be established and churches planted and primers constructed, according to God's plan and purposes.
Tedd shared the importance of reading the Bible every day. He shared a Bible reading plan that was created by Rev. John Taylor. Thanks be to God that we have the tools that are needed to read the Bible every day.
Jacinda explained cultural re-entry. Students will be returning to their own cultures with much excitement regarding what they have learned over the past five weeks, yet Jacinda alerted them to the possible challenges ahead with implementing what has been learned. MK Bharti reminded us that with God, all things are possible. Amen!
Emily Willard, ILTI graduate 2011, shared her testimony in chapel this morning reminding us that the Lord is faithful even in hard times. She shared how very important her grandfather was to her. He was an important example to Emily as he memorized scripture hiding the precious word of God his heart.
We would do well to do the same.
