International Literacy Training (ILTI) Begins

International Literacy Training (ILTI) began today with a new worship song taught to us by our African brother, Innocent, and an inspirational presentation about inductive Bible study led by our guest speaker, Pastor Phillip McClure, from Arkansas.  Pastor Phillip encouraged us with the thought that there is a time to learn from preaching and teaching.  Yet there is great benefit in studying the Word of God personally and inductively, because by doing so we become a disciple of Jesus rather than a disciple of a particular Bible teacher.  Inductive study allows room for God to speak more freely, engaging an interactive approach, and it promotes students becoming students of the Word of God along with their teachers.  Inductive study promotes learning how to learn to study God's Word.

What a great place to begin this amazing five-week course of study: worshiping our LORD, studying HIS holy word, and praying in HIS name.  We are looking forward to the journey ahead thanking GOD for all he has prepared for us.

Innocent leads us in worship.
Pastor Phillip teaches us about inductive Bible Study.

Harold  (LTI student), Bob Biederman
(LEI Director of North America)
and the rest of the ILTI students pray for Pastor Phillip.
