January-the Weikals gather to celebrate Dave’s (Christa's dad's) 80th birthday.
February-Sid celebrated the beginning of his 3rd year with Literacy and Evangelism International. Sid also earned his private pilot’s license this year. For more details you can visit LEI’s web site and Sid’s blog.
May/June-Christa and Peg celebrated their first “girls only” trip to Colonial Williamsburg, Virginia.
July-The guys celebrated their “Manly Adventure”, backpacking in the Pecos wilderness of New Mexico.
August- The family celebrated Daniel and Shelby’s wedding. The newly weds continue their studies at the University of Oklahoma with Daniel in the OU School of Construction Science and Shelby in the OU School of Nursing.
Christa begins and celebrates her 14th year of teaching.
David begins and celebrates his senior year of high school. We will celebrate his graduation in May ’09. No word yet on where he will go to collage, but he plans to take his Cisco Certified Network Associate certification in the spring.
December- the Rices celebrate the birth of our Lord Jesus and Philip and Becky’s wedding. Becky and Philip will reside in Norman, Oklahoma. Philip works for an electronics parts company and also sells guitar pedals, teaches music lessons, and books events for his rock band, The Neighborhood. (For updates, visit the band’s web site). Becky works with a bank in Oklahoma City.
